Two blood drives scheduled
There remains an urgent need for blood donations this summer, and you can help ease the potential shortage by giving blood. The Blood Connection will bring its bloodmobile to the Walmart parking lot today from 3-8 p.m. All donors will receive a $20 eGift card.
If you can’t make it to the bloodmobile today, Grace United Methodist Church will sponsor a blood drive at their church this Sunday, July 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the side parking lot. All donors will receive a $20 eGift card.
The organization needs to collect 800 donations a day to provide the blood needed by the area hospitals it serves. They say if everyone who can donate blood did so on a regular basis, every two months, there would never be a blood shortage.
