Daniel Prince

Some events will be open to all students, and others just for first-gen students

USC Union is planning a special event for first-generation students. It will be held on Thursday, November 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will honor and recognize those students who are the first generation of college students in their family, as well as other first-generation members of USC Union’s faculty and staff. Several of the day’s events will be open to all students. From 9-10, all students are invited to the Main Building Auditorium to the First-Generation Panel. Those who attend will be given a food ticket to attend the “You’re FLIPPIN’ Amazing Pancake Breakfast” from 10-11 at the Truluck Gym. From 11:30-2:30, all students are invited to the Truluck Gym to the Discipline Expo and free lunch. From 3-4, first-generation students only are invited back to the gym for gifts, games, and a popcorn bar. First-generation students will also receive a free t-shirt while supplies last.
