US News & World Report lists the school as the #2 public school in the south
An upstate university is the state’s #1 public school for the 4th straight year, according to new rankings released by US News and World Report. USC Upstate earned the honor, also coming in as the #2 public school in the south and tied for #24 on the south’s best regional colleges list, which includes private institutions. It is listed as #3 in best colleges for veterans, #33 in best value schools, #6 in top performers on social mobility, and #206 in nursing. The school boasts a six-year average graduation rate of 47%.
Lander University is tied for #3 in the top public schools in the south. The Citadel ranks #2 in regional universities in the south. Clemson lands tied at #77 in national universities, with the University of South Carolina tied at #115. Furman is tied for #45 in national liberal arts colleges, and Wofford comes in tied at #70 in that list.
