Vandalism Reported at Timken Sports Complex

Playground equipment, turf spray painted

Sgt. Nathan Burdine responded to the Timken Sports Complex Wednesday for a report of vandalism. He spoke with an employee there, who stated that when he arrived at work and unlocked the playground, he found some of the equipment had been spray painted. There were four pieces of playground equipment and some turf that had been vandalized. The employee stated he locked the gate at around 8 p.m. Tuesday night, and everything was fine. The playground is completely fenced-in with a six-foot fence. Burdine took pictures of the equipment and turf. The report has been sent to investigations.
