Victim of Pedestrian Accident Identified

34-year-old Johnathon Douglas Davis was pronounced dead at Spartanburg Medical Center

The Union County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of Wednesday night’s fatal accident on Highway 215. 34-year-old Johnathon Douglas Davis, of Buffalo, was killed when he was struck by a 2009 Honda two-door sedan traveling north on Highway 215 near Lukesville Road. Davis was out of his car at the time, working on a disabled vehicle. The accident occurred around 8:11 p.m. Wednesday. Davis was transported to Spartanburg Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at around 10 p.m. An autopsy on Davis will be performed at Newberry Pathology Group.
