Veterans group spreads cheer across the county
The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 644 in Union County made sure that their fellow veterans in nursing homes and assisted living facilities were taken care of for the holidays. According to Charles Lott with the Union County VVA, the group has carried out this mission for around 20 years. They delivered gifts to veterans at ProMedica, Ellen Sagar, Whitney Place, and Pinckney Place.
