Jonesville's parade is scheduled for Saturday

The next two Christmas parades of the season are upon us. The Union Christmas parade is scheduled for tonight at 6 p.m. This year’s theme is “The Polar Express”, and participants are encouraged to decorate in keeping with the theme for a chance to win cash prizes. The Union County Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors unanimously picked WBCU owner, general manager, and morning show host Chris Woodson as this year’s parade marshal.

As a reminder, the Union Public Safety Department will be closing off Main Street between 4-8 p.m. today, and they need all vehicles parked on Main Street to be removed prior to 4 p.m. They thank you in advance for your cooperation in making this a great event.

The Jonesville Christmas Parade is set for tomorrow, Saturday, December 3rd, at 3 p.m. They will have more activities following the parade in the Jonesville Municipal Complex. From 4-5 p.m., they will have pictures with Santa in the cafeteria. From 4:30-5:45, there will be Christmas caroling outside the Town Hall. From 5-6, there will be story time reading in the cafeteria. At 6, there will be a Christmas tree lighting on the front lawn of the Town Hall.
