Chasity Pearson and Gloria Rogers vie for seat vacated by Vicki Morgan
WBCU News will be hosting the candidates for the City Council District 3 special election on the air this Tuesday in the 9 a.m. hour. Chasity Pearson and Gloria Rogers are vying to fill the unexpired term of Vicki Morgan, who resigned the seat after moving outside the district over the summer. The special election will take place next Tuesday, November 30. District 3 is comprised of portions of the East Buffalo, Excelsior, Ward 3, Ward 4 Box 1, and Ward 4 Box 2 precincts. Absentee voting for the special election is now open. You can vote absentee in-person at the Voter Registration Office in the former Union Chrysler building on South Duncan Bypass Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note they will be closed this Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
