Where to Get a COVID Test in Union County

Daniel Prince

Testing available at Low Country Urgent Care, health department parking lot

With the increase in COVID cases, you may wonder where you can get a COVID test in Union County. Low Country Urgent Care continues to offer COVID testing Monday through Saturday from 8-8 and Sunday from 9-6. To reserve a time, visit www.lowcountryurgentcare.com. In a recent Facebook post, they note that they are experiencing longer wait times due to extremely high patient volume. They stress that the time you reserve online is a reservation, not an appointment. This reserves you a spot in line and will guarantee you to be seen. Please arrive at your reserved time but understand there will be a wait. They encourage you to text them with questions, as the phone lines are very busy. You can text the word LOWCOUNTRY to 843-418-9107 to reach a member of their team. They also note they will not tolerate any threats, verbal abuse, or violence of any kind toward their team members. They have the right to refuse service to those who will not comply.

COVID testing is also available at the Union County Health Department’s parking lot at 115 Thomas Street. They are open Thursday and Friday from 9:30-5, and Monday through Wednesday from 8:30-5. Please pull to the white A-frame sign and call the number provided to let them know you have arrived for testing. Please remain in your car. Registration is preferred but not required. You can preregister for a test at covidtest.dhec.sc.gov.
