Woman Reported Missing Found Safe

A Union woman has been found safe after being reported missing. On Tuesday morning, Captain Scott Coffer sent out a bulletin telling people to be on the lookout for Merri Kristen Hawkins. Hawkins, age 41, had last been seen on Tuesday, September 7, in Monarch. She was leaving with a male subject to pick up her vehicle in Mauldin. The release stated all her belongings and cash were left behind. Three and a half hours later, Coffer sent out another release stating Hawkins had been found safe. No further details were released.
