$1800 worth of items taken, including TVs and a refrigerator
A burglar made off with $1800 worth of items from a woman’s apartment. The woman came home from work on Thursday and found that her apartment on Sardis Road had been broken into. The woman said she keeps her front door locked, so the burglar must have come in through the back window, which she said was open when she came home. She was missing two TVs, three pairs of shoes, a refrigerator, and several pairs of clothing. The total value of the stolen items was listed at $1800. She told PFC Hill that the clothing in the bedroom floor had been rambled through, as well. Officer Hill spoke with the next-door neighbor about the incident, and she told him she thought she heard someone moving around in the apartment a couple of weeks ago, but she thought it may have been the woman who lives there, so she didn’t pay it any attention. The case has been forwarded to investigations.
