Event also served to remember the events of September 11, 2001
Representatives from Woodmen Life gathered with members of the Union County Sheriff’s Office and others to dedicate the new flagpole outside the sheriff’s office. The ceremony Friday morning also served as a remembrance ceremony for those who lost their lives in the terror attack on September 11, 2001.
Paul Winters, recruiting sales manager with Woodmen Life, told WBCU News about the event and why Woodmen Life donates and dedicates flagpoles to organizations:

To date, Woodmen Life has donated and dedicated flagpoles at numerous fire stations around the county, as well as the flagpoles on the SCC Union and USC Union campuses, among many others. To watch the ceremony, go to the Union County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page.
