Special needs students enjoyed fishing yesterday
The annual Public Safety Day Youth Fishing Rodeo is back again this year at Foster Park Lake. The event for ages 15 and younger is this Saturday from 9-noon, and they are invited to come out for a morning of fishing fun and prizes. You will need to provide your own rods and bait for the kids. Union Public Safety Chief Robbie McGee talks about the event:

The free Public Safety Day Youth Fishing Rodeo is sponsored by the City of Union, US Forestry Service, SC Department of Natural Resources, and the Union County Chamber of Commerce. In another annual tradition, yesterday, a number of special needs students from Union County Schools came out to enjoy some time fishing around the lake, as well.
